Jul 21st 2009 17:29 Report Abuse | | Thanks for the congratulations, Anna. I was delighted to be co-opted onto the council, along with Penny, and look forward to seeing a lot more people attending the Parish Council meetings, so they can join in and be aware of what's going on in the Parish |

Aug 16th 2009 09:49 Report Abuse | | The last meeting of the Parish Council took place on 7th July. It is disappointing to note that the minutes of that meeting are not on the website. |

Sep 10th 2009 23:15 Report Abuse | | Well done for posting this notice Tracey. A shame only two members of the public turned up - see my report on the News Page! |

Sep 11th 2009 09:49 Report Abuse | | Thanks to Tracey and Lin, and I agree a poor turnout. However as far as I can see the date of the meeting hadn't been published in advance (Tracey's posting was on the day of the meeting) and our own St Veep PC page still shows the date of 7 July.
We're all busy people and need a bit more notice than 4 hours (even if you'd checked the website late afternoon)! From my experience of similar committees the date of the next meeting is always agreed as an agenda item so can we please try to get the date of the next meeting NOW so we can plan to come along.

Sep 11th 2009 10:43 Report Abuse | | date of next St Veep Parish Council meeting is 8th October 2009 at 7.30pm in The Red Store. Hopefully that should be enough notice.
I agree Lin, it was a very interesting meeting, and as you said its a shame that more people didn't attend, or indeed don't attend at ANY of the meetings. I do appreciate the comment made about the posting of the dates of the next meetings, and hopefully this has been rectified. I did bring up the subject of a playground for the village, under the heading of Any Other Business, and now that people are aware of the date of the next meeting, it would be fantastic to see more people attend, so that this, and any other matter that people feel strongly about, can be discussed. |

Sep 30th 2009 06:28 Report Abuse | | I'm going to be away when the meeting is on (and before anyone says anything I think I have only been out of this village twice since January)
Can I pass on my support for any movement to try and get something for families in the village and ask that someone puts something on here to let those of us that can't get to the meeting know what happens. |

Oct 3rd 2009 08:35 Report Abuse | | Great to see the new PC pages, congratulations to all involved. Open access to this type of information certainly helps to keep us informed even if we can't get to the meetings.

Oct 3rd 2009 10:00 Report Abuse | | A big THANK YOU to all concerned for constructing such an excellent web-page for the Parish Council. It is really good to see all the information presented in such a clear format. The Parish Council business was quite a mystery to me. I think that this web-page will bring the Parish Council closer to the people it serves. Good for democracy! |
