|Lerryn Memorial Hall Committee are currently custodians of the Lerryn Photo Archive, a collection of images from the 1900s to 2000s. This Archive constitutes an important pictorial history of the village which the Committee feels should be of, by and for the village and accessible to all those connected with Lerryn, both past, present and future. It should also be an ongoing project.

An opinion survey asking what should be done with the archive material was carried out last December. A total of 170 forms were issued and 67 (39%) were returned. Bearing in mind that participants could opt for as many of the four options as they wished, the number who ticked the options was as follows:

Red Store shows,Put on Web Site, Hall shows, CD sales
No. 39 43 39 50
% 58 64 58 75

Sorry I can't line up these figures with the headings. Read them in sequence.

These numbers indicate that there is no overwhelming preference for any one of the four options. The proposal to sell CD’s (or DVD’s) was the most popular by a small margin.
A number of suggestions were made; that Lerryn School pupils could be involved, that old artefacts be displayed on the shelf in the Committee Room, that there be a permanent display of photos in the Hall corridor, that everyone be encouraged to contribute their own old photos if relevant and that audience participation at presentations should be encouraged.
The Memorial Hall Committee has decided to pursue all four options. The suggestions will also be investigated.
