Polmena House B&B
A warm welcome awaits you at Polmena House, once a farmhouse, now a spacious family home, tucked into the side of a beautiful Cornish valley, a mile from Lostwithiel, with stunning panoramic views of the River Fowey and wooded valley.
Open from April to October 2019. Two spacious double or twin ensuite rooms. Min stay 2 nights. Very peaceful location with stunning valley/countryside views within walking distance of Lostwithiel town. Eden Project (6 miles); Heligan Gardens, NT Lanhydrock House & Boconnoc House are also nearby.
The Garden & Grounds
You are very welcome to use our garden at any time. There are two water features and gravel paths surround the house so anyone staying with children must take responsibility for their safety.
The gardens around Polmena were redesigned in 1992 to be as much part of the surrounding valley landscape as possible and have now matured into a mixed display of colour, form and texture. A number of our plants and shrubs came from the nearby Duchy of Cornwall Nursery which now boasts an award-winning coffee shop.
The stunning views beyond our garden to the front of the house are of open unspoilt countryside with the Fowey Estuary below. Views of Lostwithiel Town and Restormel Castle are to the rear of the house.
