A horrific accident

Monday 25th July 2022

In a major car crash outside Lerryn on Saturday evening, several people were very badly hurt, and Tim Boraston died.

The whole village has been shaken by the loss of this very young man. David Vipond and Sylvia Oliver, who used to teach him, write:

Tim was one of the pupils who has left a lasting impression in our teaching lives. His talents and his gentle, loving and sensitive nature greatly added to the very special ethos of Lerryn School.

He was extremely popular and well loved.

Timmy was a free spirit. He loved poetry and stories and he also loved and appreciated the beauty around us here in Lerryn.

He had a beautiful voice and a great gift for singing, and sang solos in many school performances.

We also remember his prowess in gymnastics; one of the most talented gymnasts we have ever seen in primary school.

All who knew him in our school community, pupils and staff, are very shocked and saddened. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all the family.

A go fund me page has been set up to raise funds for the funeral https://www.gofundme.com/f/give-timmy-the-send-off-he-deserves
