Formed in 2011, the Ronnie Jones Quartet is a South West based band which has extablished a reputation for bringing accessible chamber jazz to a wider audience; a fine example of the talent right here on our doorstep in the west country.

Well known for a decade or more on the south west jazz circuit, the band has performed at some of the most respected jazz festivals in the UK - including Cheltenham, Marlborough, Plymouth Jazz & Blues Festival, Ealing and Teignmouth, where they have appeared several times.

The band will be performing a carefully selected repertoire of jazz at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery on November 19th.

Band leader Ronnie Jones is an 'in demand' performer, with appearances as varied at the Welsh Proms and the National Eisteddfod, as well as featuring in recent years on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru and S4C.

Ronnie is joined by Teignmouth-based guitarist Joss Kidd, whose playing fuses Pat Metheny's imagination with the soulful emotional connecton of the great Joe Pass and Jim Hall. On string bass is  David George, a well-respected player in all formats of jazz, from big band to duo. On sax is guest Martin Dale, a veteran of the British jazz scene, who has played with just about everyone of note over a couple of decades and is well respected by regulars of the Lostwithiel Jazz Cafe.
