Blooming Bluebells..... Saturday 7 May Event

Tuesday 8th March 2011

Message from Alice Barker National Trust Ranger at Lanhydrock

I was hoping some of Lerryn's walkers might be interested to hear about our Bloomin’ Bluebell Challenge Walk on Saturday 7 May between 8am-3pm?  Walkers choose between a 6 or 13 mile route, discovering spectacular displays of bluebells around the beautiful 950 acre Lanhydrock estate.  Walkers receive a map of the estate, along with some information about the history, wildlife and work that is carried out by staff and volunteers at Lanhydrock.  Marshals are there to help along the route, along with a couple of refreshment pit stops.  Money raised from the event will go towards the £25,000 worth of work needed to repair our footpaths damaged by flooding in November 2010.  As a charity National Trust relies upon the generosity of our supporters to fund the magnificent properties, countryside and coast we manage, for ever, for everyone.
