Fish People
Thursday 19th April 2018
A quick reminder of our next Friends of the Fowey Estuary event which is a showing of the film 'FISHPEOPLE' on Tuesday 24th April at 7.30pm at Trenython Manor Hotel.
There is £5 admission fee payable on the door, this event is to raise funds for the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust (CSGRT) to support their critical work to protect globally rare grey seals in the Southwest. This film has already inspired hundreds of people at showings around Cornwall with its awesome images of our oceans.
Here's a bit more about the film...
To some, the ocean is a fearsome and dangerous place. But to others, it’s a limitless world of fun, freedom and opportunity where life can be lived to the full. This is a film about the transformative effects of time spent in the ocean leaving behind limitations to find deeper meaning beyond the shore. A documentary presented by Patagonia and directed by Keith Malloy, Fishpeople tells the stories of a unique cast of characters who have dedicated their lives to the sea. From surfers and freedivers to photographers and a long-distance swimmer, a former coal miner and a group of at-risk kids on the streets of San Francisco. An uplifting and inspirational experience. This is a charity screening to raise funds for, and presented by Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust and the Friends of the Fowey Estuary.
There will also be a raffle on the night to raise funds for CSGRT.
Hope to see you there
Best wishes
