Lerryn WI Support Little Harbour

Members of Lerryn WI were so impressed by what they heard when a representative of Little Harbour came to speak at one of their meetings that they arranged a visit. They spent a morning in a magical environment in which technology, imagination and humanity combine to provide a space in which children with severe, life-limiting conditions can enjoy themselves together with their siblings and families. Having seen it, they wanted to help. The delicious fund-raising lunch they provided in the Memorial Hall enabled them to present a cheque for £630 to Children's Hospice South West. Now Lerryn WI member Rosie Brown has added to the sum by joining a sponsored WI event on the Eden Project zipwire. She landed safely this morning and her sponsorship money is still coming in - £700+ and counting! Many congratulations to all the WI members who have contributed in any way. The money could not go to a better cause.
