Lerryn's intrepid Mariner makes a solo trip home!

Arriving in the Fowey river today on his trusty trimaran "Tersancta" was Lerryn's Ronald Elliott. At 90 years of age Ronald has for the first time sailed single handed from the Scillies to Fowey via Newlyn and the Helford river in quite testing conditions.

Many sailors of lesser years shrink from the passage to the Scillies because of its fearsome reputation. That Ronald has achieved this in his ninetieth year is an incredible achievement and we take our collective hats off to him. Well done Ronald, welcome home!
