Lostwithiel Food Festival

Saturday 23rd October 2010

A massive range of events ranging from Pasty making to Korean food demonstrations make up this years Lostwithiel Food Festival which takes place from October 25th to October 30th.

The week' s events start with The Great Cornish Pasty Challenge where everyone is invited to come up with their own recipe for a Cornish Pasty. A panel of experts will taste and judge the best pasty.

Beer and wine buffs will benefit from expert guidance on the best drinks to go with specific foods at tasting evenings at The Globe and The Kings Arms, while Cornish beers, wines and cheeses will feature heavily at a concert at The Community Centre.

The Festival takes on a distinctly continental look from midweek with French, Spanish and Mexican evenings. And all things Eastern will feature in an Asian Food Festival to round the week off. This will feature Thai, Korean, Japanese, Indian and Nepalese food demonstrations together with Thai dancers, kick boxing and Japanese drummers.

As well as individual events restaurants, pubs and food suppliers will be putting on tastings and special food promotions throughout the week.
