Precious Lives Quadrathon - Can you help

Can you help with the following event on Sunday 27th September.

Encounter Cornwall are providing canoes and equipment for 24 competitors as well as 2 safety boats.

However we need another safety boat OR someone who can kayak to be on the river to direct the paddlers safely in the Penmarlam area.

Please help if you can - this is a very worthwhile event, should be a lot of fun to watch and will help the appeal.  The event has been approved and is supported by Fowey Harbour Commision   -

If anyone can assist on the day between around 11.30am and 3pm please call Damon on 01208 871066 or email    info@lerryn.net

On the 27th September 2009 twenty four people are planning to cross Cornwall from Padstow to Fowey in the first Cornish Coast to Coast Quadrathlon - raising money for the Precious Lives Appeal to build the new Childrens Hospice in Cornwall - www.chsw.org.uk

Entrants have to swim 800 metres from Padstow up the River Camel, cycle 20 miles to Lanhydrock, run 5 miles through Lostwithiel to reach St Winnow before heading off to Fowey by canoe down the river. They've got to catch the tide so there'll be no time for faffing!

The event starts off from Padstow on the incoming tidea at 9-30am. Participants travelling in teams of 4 are aiming to reach St Winnow sometime around 12:00 to 13:00 ready to canoe down to Fowey.

A Justgiving website has been set up for sponsors and donations - http://www.justgiving.com/cornish-quadrathlon/

This event is being made possible by Encounter Cornwall http://encountercornwall.com/ who are supporting the canoe leg
