Three More Cruise Ships

Sadly, the Braemar was unable to enter Fowey Harbour last week because the visibility was down to 50m.  However, three more cruise ships are coming to Fowey in the next two weeks.

Firstly, Black Watch will be arriving on Monday 30th August at 0700hrs.  According to Harbour Master, Capt. Mike Sutherland, she will break the record for being the longest ship ever to arrive in Fowey.  At 205.47m she is just 0.4m longer than the Boudicca, the previous record holder.

Black Watch is 205.47m long, her beam is 25.2m and her tonnage is 28,613 tons

Then, on 3rd September, the Silver Whisper, a ship new to Fowey, will be arriving.  She is 182m long, has a beam of 24.8m and tonnage of 28,200 tons.

Finally, the Silver Cloud will be returning to Fowey on 9th September.  She is the last cruise ship of the year to come to Fowey.

Silver Cloud is 156m in length, has a 21.5m beam and a gross tonnage of 16,927 tons.
