Tuesday Club visit to Gardens Cottage, St Blazey
Wednesday 29th May 2019
On Tuesday 28th May, ten members of the Tuesday Club made their way to Prideaux, near St Luxulyan to visit Sue Newton's garden.
Gardens Cottage is a newly-created garden of about 1½ acres set in tranquil location on the edge of the Luxulyan Valley. The vision of the owners is to create a country garden that is sympathetic to its stunning surrounding landscape, has year-round interest with lots of colour, is productive and simply feels good to be in. In addition, Sue wanted to created a garden that would be open for charitable causes.
Sue was very generous with her time and gave us a guided tour of her garden explaining how the project started and had developed since January 2013. We finished the visit with refreshments on the terrace by the beautiful terraced rockery outside her therapy room.
We highly recommend that you visit this garden which is open for the National Garden Scheme.
