Village Night 2010

Perfect weather set the scene for a lively Village Night. Good food smells were wafting through the air quite early in the afternoon and soon everybody was enjoying the sausage sizzle, the WI's cakes, LAMA's veggie snacks and of course Cancer Research's row of voluptuous puddings. (Apparently the cholesterol doesn't count if you're eating it for charity!) Children danced on the grass and had their faces painted; children and adults together tried their luck and skill at the games and competitions, music drifted from the marquee and by the end of the day the Hall funds were £620 better off. Just for the record, three people DID manage to 'splat the rat'. Two of them were well co-ordinated village lads. The third was Gwen.
