Whitecross and District Gardening Club AGM and talk

Dear Whitecross Garden Club Members
 
Wishing you all a Very Happy New Year.
 
We were very sad to have to cancel the last garden club meeting in December due to the icy condition of the roads that made driving so treacherous.
 
Our first meeting for 2023 is next Thursday the 19th January at7pm
 
The meeting will start with the AGM followed by our speaker Jenny Edrich who will be talking on: Flowers and trees, butterflies and bees – the wilding of a garden
 
Jenny is one of our garden club members who you will remember from a previous talk she gave to the club. The talk was then followed by a guided tour round her garden which is a haven for wildlife. She is an excellent speaker, hugely knowledgeable and takes wonderful photos so we are very much looking forward to the evening.
 
We will be serving the mulled wine, mince pies, biscuits, tea, coffee etc that we should have had at the December meeting - a little bit of cheer for this rather dark, wet January. There will be no charge for these refreshments.
 
Sue and Aly have put together a really good Christmas/New Year raffle. Please could I kindly remind you to bring some cash if you would like a ticket – we appreciate that some members don’t usually carry cash these days but we do not have a card reader.
 
We very much look forward to seeing you next Thursday.
