Tickets went on sale at Lerryn Village Stores and Paraphernalia in Lostwithiel for the Tony Oreshko jazz concert at Boconnoc Church on 4 October (@ 7pm). This promises to be a lively night as Tony Oreshko and his quartet bring the jazz of the Left Bank, reminiscent of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and Le Hot Club de France, to the 14th century church
Tony Oreshko is a well-known jazzman and with an enthusiastic following and the tickets at £7.50 (£6.50 for members & £5 for u/16), to include light refreshments afterwards, are generally reckoned to be a bargain as he and his musicians fill the old church with foot-tapping melody.
Mike Lynch, who has arranged the concert for Friends of Boconnoc Church, said, “We doubt you’ll ever have heard the church swing as you will on 4th October!”
