Christmas Day - in spite of the ice !

Hey!

My family and I came down to Lerryn, Lostwithiel in Cornwall for the Christmas period. For the past 3 years we've always walked up to St Veep church for the service on Christmas day. Today however, the ice and harsh weather conditions meant that the people who tried to get to church up the hill couldn't get up there. So instead, with the vicar unable to get to church, we thought we would hold the service in the green. It was a wonderful scene and still without a organ, we sang our heats out to O Come Ye Faithful!

It was lucky that no-one was hurt and we still managed to hold a service on Christmas day!

Attached is a photo of Lerryn community attending the service on the green by the river!
