Duckling Update

On Monday evening (19th September) there were still 5 mallard ducklings with their mother on the river.  These late brood ducklings seem to have a better survival rate than the earlier broods.

Six other new arrivals together with their mother have been seen on the river over the last week.  These ducklings were protected through their first weeks by Ginny and Heulyn and now seem well established.  In the photo below, it is difficult to tell which of the white ducks is the mother.
