Ethy Gardens special open afternoon

Saturday 14th May 2011

The beautiful gardens of Ethy House will again be open to the public on Sunday 15th May when the bluebells and flowering trees at their best.

Mr and Mrs Leslie who live at Ehty House have extensively restored the gardens and woodlands in recent years.  The gardens are not usually open to the public and this is a rare opportunity to see them.  Ethy Gardens are managed with a sensitive regards to nature and in early May the wildflower meadows and the woodland bluebell walks are spectacularly interspersed with azaleas, magnolias and rhododendrons.

Delicious traditional afternoon teas will be available in the courtyard and a local plant nursery will be selling their high quality plants and shrubs.

There is ample car parking and access to the garden is suitable for the less able bodied visitors.  Admission is only £3.00 and children go free.  Dogs on lead may be walked in the grounds.  All proceeds will go to the charity "Friends of St Winnow Church".
