Flu Vaccination Clinics

Monday 21st September 2020

FLU VACCINATION clinics will be held in the Scout Hut on all Wednesdays in October (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th) and 11th November, with social distancing measures in place. Please do NOT attend if you or anyone else in your household has Covid-19 symptoms.

The times are as follow, based on surnames, except for the early slot for those who work:
🔹Anyone who works, any surname: 7.00 am - 8.00 am
🔹A - G 8.00am - 9.30am
🔹H - P 9.30am - 11.00am
🔹Q - Z 11.00am - 12.00 noon

There are two different vaccines:
🔸 QIVc for patients aged 65 years and over as at 30th September 2020.
🔸QIVe for those aged 18 to 64 years “at risk”(patients with asthma, diabetes or heart disease).

Carers and pregnancy also qualify for the vaccine. The clinics for the extended cohort of 50-64 years will be advertised at a later date when vaccines are available. Arrangements for child flu vaccinations will also be publicised later.

There will not be the customary teas and coffees this year, and there may be queues due to social distancing. Please wear short sleeves to ensure easy access to upper arms to avoid even longer delays.
