Feast Sunday - Pews and Picnic Rugs
Sunday 5th July 2026, 11:00am to 1:00pm
🌿 Feast Sunday at St Veep – 5th July, 11am
Feast Sunday is one of the loveliest days in the St Veep year — a moment to pause, look back with gratitude, and celebrate the long, steady life of our parish. If you’ve been thinking about coming to church but feel a bit hesitant, this is a gentle and welcoming Sunday to try.
The service is calm, friendly, and easy to follow. You won’t be asked to say anything out loud or do anything unexpected. Simply come in, find a seat, and take things at your own pace. There will be prayers, a reading, a short reflection, and some well‑loved hymns that have been sung here for generations — a reminder of the continuity and care that have shaped this place.
After the service, everyone is invited to stay for our Pews and Picnic Rugs picnic lunch. Bring a picnic and settle in the churchyard (or inside if the weather turns). It’s relaxed, informal, and a lovely way to share Feast Sunday together. The servery will be open for hot and cold drinks throughout.
Whether you’re new, returning, visiting, or simply curious, you’ll be warmly welcomed. No pressure, no fuss — just a peaceful celebration of a parish that has held its community for centuries, and still does today.
