LAMA Special Trip to Dartmoor from Yelverton to Moretonhampstead

Crossing the Tamar Bridge into Devon, we will enter Dartmoor via Yelverton to drop in on Burrator Reservoir. After a brief sightseeing leg stretch, we will travel on to Princetown. We will stop for lunch at The Old Police Station, which has an extensive and reasonably priced menu.
After lunch, we will head deeper into Dartmoor, passing through Postbridge, to exit the north eastern edge at Moretonhampstead. We will then skirt the northern boundary of Dartmoor, travelling back to Cornwall on the old A30 coach road, passing through Sticklepath, Lewdown and Lifton before turning south towards Callington.
We will stop at the Old Engine House at Compton Park, which has wonderful views across Callington into Cornwall. The Engine House also has a lovely café where we can enjoy an afternoon cuppa. When everyone has had their fill, we will head home through Liskeard in time for supper, if anyone still has room for it.
