LAMA Special Trip to Mevagissey Shanty Festival

Registered passengers and LAMA members are invited to join us for the last day of merrymaking at the Shanty Festival in Mevagissey, which will be full of fun, laughter, singing and possibly a glass or two of ale or rum.
Founded in 2019 by Tristan Netherton of the Stuns’ls Shanty Group, the Mevagissey Shanty Festival is a joyful celebration of maritime shanty singing and local heritage. Now in its sixth year, the festival, supported by Keltek Brewery, features hundreds of singers over the weekend.
You can choose to wander around the various venues in the town which will be hosting various Shanty groups, or stay put in one of them, just see how you feel on the day. A programme of events is being produced and will be available soon on their website at mevashantyfest.co.uk, or else you will be able to buy one on the day from the marquee on the harbour.
