LAMA Royal Cornwall Show Special Trip

Our special trip to the Royal Cornwall Show will leave Lerryn at 8.30am on Saturday 10th June, with a pick-up in Lostwithiel at 8:45am.  The Royal Cornwall Show is the county’s biggest annual event, with something for every member of the family.  The cost of the adult return fare is only £5 (children half price) and entrance to the show is £22 for adults and £5.50 for children under-16, but a family ticket is available for £46 (2 adults and 2 children.

Depending upon traffic conditions, we expect to drop you off at the show ground at around 9:30am and pick you up at 3:30pm.  That is a whole 6 hours at the show to enjoy the best in entertainment, shopping, competition, and of course, food and farming.  This is a time to meet old friends and enjoy everything that Cornwall has to offer.

For over 200 years the show has showcased the best in Cornish agriculture, supporting industry to continue thriving and improving.  The show attracts increasing numbers of animals from across the country, entered into its many hundreds of classes, all aiming to go home with a coveted prize.  The show has everything from ponies to poultry, top livestock, a renowned Flower Show and a thriving Countryside Area. It has also recently introduced the Cornwall Cider Championships, which sees amateur and professional cider makers from across Cornwall and beyond, compete for the top prize.

The Royal Cornwall Food & Farming Pavilion showcases and promotes Cornish-grown and Cornish-produced food and drink, as well as many local caterers represented across the Showground.  The Main Ring Entertainment will have you on the edge of your seat, the traditional steam fair will transport you to times gone by, and there are avenues alive with music, song and dance.  Also, take time out for some retail therapy, with almost 1,000 trade stands across the site, selling everything from cars to cheese, to furniture to fudge – you’re bound to find something to bring home.
